i recently switched from vista, which i hated to ubuntu 7.04

im woundering where i could get any security programs or virus protection programs for ubuntu 7.04......

im a newby to ubuntu and not real sure what it has to offer.

Since you are new to ubuntu, checkout Unofficial Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) Starter Guide]. In particular, checkout section 1.16.13 Anti-virus of the Guide.

Also, you might want to pickup the chkrootkit script.
