Hi blue4paper,

First, can you tell us the OS version, release you are running? What hardware specs do you have: how much RAM, size of hard disk, video card, etc. what CPU: AMD 64-bit vs Intel 32-bit?

What happens when you manually increase the width of a window or its height by grabbing one of its sides or corners and pull or drag it to a wider or taller size window - for example, your browser window - instead of selecting the maximize button in the upper right-hand corner of the browser window?

well, im' using feisty fawn 7.04 ( i think thats the right version) nvidia 6600 128 ram, 80 gig hard drive disk, 1500 memory, CPU intel grantsdale. The black screen doesn't always happen, and it only happens for windows, not the whole screen. when it does happen i usually have to resize the window to a smaller size.

i think i found one of the problems, its because of wine, i'm using it for some of my old windows applications, like everest and such. Most of them open ok, but some of them are missing the border (the border used so you can drag your windows). Is wine that unstable? Any plug-ins and such?

I don't use Wine, so I do not know.
