Install Wubi and the XP/Unbuntu Mix

Hello all, I am trying to install Wubi on a xp box so that I can dual boot between Unbuntu and XP. It looks like it installs but when it reboots, it freezes and gives a error about the motherboard speed needing to be turned down. I do have a 64-bit AMD 64x2 processor. I have also downloaded the 64-bit ISO for Unbuntu but it still freezes. Has anyone else run into this issue?
