Wal-Mart's $200 Everex I imagine most people here know this, but Wal-Mart has this new computer called the Everex that runs gOS. Well, anyway, the reason I'm posting here is because I'm wondering what people here think about this. I'm thinking of getting this just because it's a cheap computer. I know it runs on a off brand CPU and doesn't have much RAM, but I was thinking it might be useful to have a second computer, in spite of this. Particularly, I'm thinking of connecting this to my TV and using it primarily as a Media computer.
I'm also wondering if it might be easy or difficult to uninstall gOS and install Ubuntu or SuSE. Sometime in the future, I might even install a version of Windows, but is that possible?
So, is this a good idea, or is this computer too weak or unreliable? And I know that that's really a relative question, but I was still wondering if I could get some thoughts on it.
