Lost password
I was given a computer that has kubutu on it don't know what version. The previous owner does not remember the user name or the password to log in for sure. They gave me several things to try but nothing works. Is there a way around this? I don't know Linux at all but am some what familar with windows. Help

I see the point of not giving password help. How to I reinstall it if I can't log on?

Download, burn, and boot the Kubuntu CD. Google for those terms then post remaining questions here.

Another problem, when I go into set up to change boot order there is nothing highlighted so I can't move the arrow up and down to select bot order.

If you are using a USB keyboard, try using a PS/2 one for BIOS navigation.

If you only have a USB keyboard, look in the box (or ask someone else with new keybaord), there's normally a PS2 adaptor.
