Hope you don't mind me asking, why using a Virtual Machine? You can login into a KDE desktop from login screen if you install Kubuntu desktop.

Well I already had the virtual machine application installed for Windows XP, so I thought "what the hell, I'll just use it for Kubuntu and Xubuntu as well".

There's no real need to use it, but like I said I already had it on my computer so why not...
