multimedia codecs in ubuntu 7.04
how can i install video and audio codecs in ubuntu 7.04 without connecting my pc to the internet and yet satisfy all the numerous dependencies involved.

It sounds like you at least need an internet connection at some point to get APTonCD set up.

Maybe a distro pre-configured with non-free multimedia software would suit you better.

I always use this method for getting codecs on my Mandriva system. works like a charm.

Same about the media content to play. You have to get the data from somewhere. Even a distro like Sabayon which includes the CODEC in the download.

There may be reasons why a particular machine is NOT to be connected, yet you do have access to downloaded data, somewhere or other.
