What disk are you trying to boot from? Have you tried booting from the Ubuntu CD?

Try SGD Boot Disk - This zip file contains both CD and floppy images. This boot disk can hide and unhide partitions, activate partitions, boot Windows or any other OS whether there is an MBR present or not, boot from a second drive, restore Windows boot (equivalent to fdisk /mbr or fixmbr), add or remove GRUB, restore LILO, live-swap drives and more.

Make sure you take the backup disc and go to your computer. Take the contents of the cd and place them in your computer file/folder. This way the cd will know which os is the one you want. Then go to internet>tools>internet options then advanced> then check the square by move system carat with focus/selection changes. Reboot, then go to your computer files folders. Find your os properties menu> click that and make sure you UNcheck on "function with all os systems" button> Reboot again>then go to your iternet browser>file> import and export> export cookies> export cookies to default location>close internet>go to the default cookies location> Take and copy cookie 3234 or 235235 (if these do not exist, please go to http://www.download.com/Cookie-Dog/3...html?tag=lst-6 to download the cookie grabber>download>install>open up cookie grabber>grab cookies 2352 and 523562 and 516> visit these forums home page again>close internet>reboot>then the final thing, go to your DOS and type in this cookie grabber os code: dfadgjograbadjgajos08424linux42352>save to desktop/computer>reboot, and it will reboot in linux.

Not to mention impossible since you don't have Windows installed and cookies have nothing to do with any of this.

Please sir, the only thing that will get him that will be a frozen iced computer in the home!!! Try going and doing that cookie grabber method. Most tech support forums have cookies installed onto them already that will help your booting methods. And tsg is one of them. It is always stated in the quote, hmm? Now, do as I say before I hurt you..heh just kidding..
