I've had Fedora installed for about 3 hours now, and I've understood very little, so please bear with me.
I want to install KDE, so I selected it from the Fedora Add/Remove software thing, fine, but now it wants me to insert the Fedora 8 CD-rom. I did so, but it won't work. I've created a directory /mnt/cdrom, but
[root@localhost mnt]# mount /dev/hda /mnt/cdrom
mount: special device /dev/hda does not exist
[root@localhost mnt]# mount /dev/hdb /mnt/cdrom
mount: special device /dev/hdb does not exist
[root@localhost mnt]# mount /dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom
mount: special device /dev/hdc does not exist
[root@localhost mnt]# mount /dev/hdd /mnt/cdrom
mount: special device /dev/hdd does not exist
What am I supposed to do? I presume I'm meant to mount the CD to let Fedora read it, but I can't even do that?
Sorry if this is a really stupid thing to ask, it wouldn't be the first time in the 3 1/2 hours of today
