How about install times?
You already told me my time to install Vista was BS, yet it takes an hour for a service pack?
I would expect a service pack to be a much faster install than a complete OS.
I have a time line in one of my posts for installing with a dual boot. It includes updating as well as logging in and out of here.

And on a newer machine, only OS, no dual boot.

Another figured he could beat me installing Vista. 5-6 hours later he reposted that he couldn't yet dual boot, maybe not boot period(haven't read in awhile).
The next day they came back and said it only took an hour. LOL
He also has a newer more powerful PC than my OEM.

Don't forget to check his specs against mine. Starts at post #5
The hardware problem you mentioned being reason for Vista taking so long? Hasn't shown up with PCLinuxOS since it was installed beginning of Dec.
Note that these were posted long before you even joined, not trying to spread FUD.
