Linux XP installation problem
I bought a copy of Linux XP from a seller on ebay, along with a Firefox disk. When I attempt to install the OS, nothing happens, (inserting the disk, shutting down the comp, and turning it back on) The Firefox disk installs fine, but not the Linux XP. Thinking it was the disk, I tried installing it on an old e-machine I have, there wasn't enough space on the hard drive, but it did go right into install mode when I turned the comp back on so it's not the disk. Is there something in the BIOS perhaps thats preventing this particular disk from downloading data, that's the only thing I can think of.

No, the hard drive is, but when the disk didn't install at first, I went into the BIOS and changed the 1st boot to the CD drive. The disk then appeared to install, but nothing changed as far as a new OS appearing on the screen or even new files appearing anywhere. Hell! I even checked the registry looking for any new files that might have showed up there. I changed the boot order back as this thing is supposed to install without tinkering with boot orders or anything like that. I also received a Firefox disk which installed with no problems, so I'm thinking there might be some setting that's disabled in the Bios that won't allow the comp to "read" this install, but I'm not sure what that might be.
