Debugging Tools For Embedded Linux

Macraigor Systems (Brookline Village, MA), a developer of a variety of debugging tools (particularly JTAG), has recently announced a full free Eclipse (open-source debugging environment, see www.eclipse.org) embedded debugging solution that even includes example projects. It has implementations of CDT, GNU tools, GDB debugger, and many other acronyms that you’ll have to learn about. Thankfully, Macraigor also provides a list of Eclipse Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) here.

Macraigor offers step by step instructions for installing everything as well as the required utilities.
