I will probably need screen shots.. I don't get what you do.. do you open or save the file? Which one do you download from fluxbuntu? Then how do you put it on a disk? At this sort of thing, I'm a noob, so I need it all noob'd down for me.

I currently have XP.

Link?

We'd need to know about the machine to tell you which to download.

If you are installing to a standard, 32-bit machine, this is the download:

http://releases.fluxbuntu.org/7.10/r...aller-i386.iso

Then, you burn the iso to CD and boot it up.

How To Write ISO Files To CD

Free ISO burning apps:

Standalone ISO Burner (Be sure to check the "Finalize" box.)
Active@ ISO Burner
EasyISO
BurnISO
ISOBurn
ISO Recorder for XP (Uses XP's burner and adds context menu - Vista version also available.)

Hi PrinceRameses,

It sounds like you need to reboot, and get into the BIOS to inspect and modify the boot order of devices to be able to boot first from CD, then Hard Drive. Once the boot order is reset to this order, place your bootable fluxbuntu Live CD into your CD drive, and reboot - it should then load the OS from your Live CD into memory along with a fake file system built in RAM, assuming you have enough RAM (I have 1GB - how much do you have).

I'm not so sure, I have an ubuntu disk I requested (so I didn't have to download anything) and it worked just fine when I used it as a live cd..

I probably did something wrong.

You already started a thread on this weeks ago.
http://forums.techguy.org/unix-linux...fluxbuntu.html

If you have problems or questions, ask them specifically. Starting over with the general question of "how do I do it" isn't specific enough.
