Internet Connection Dual Boot I have just installed Ubuntu 8.04 as a dual boot option on my Vista Laptop. All the drivers seem to be installed and working properly and I'm only having a few problems with Ubuntu, most, I assume, because I don't know what the heck I'm doing.
But I do have one problem that is very bothersome and I hope somebody out there can help me.
Some information you may require:
Computer ... Acer Extensa 5620-6830
Operating Systems ... Vista Home Premium SP1, Ubuntu 8.04 LTS
Network Connection ... Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG
Until the addition of Ubuntu, the computer was programmed to automatically connect to my WPA secured home wireless network. I now have Ubuntu programmed to automatically connect, and it does. However, when I leave Ubuntu and boot to Vista, the computer now indicates that it connects with the network, but I cannot connect to the intenet. A second reboot, and the connection is made. This problem only occurs after leaving Ubuntu and booting to Vista the first time. A 2nd reboot and I have no problems. Booting to Vista after closing down Vista causes no problems. The problem happens only when going from Ubuntu to Vista.
Any ideas?
