Get rid of Linux!!
I had Win XP installed on an old Toshiba laptop and thought I would give Linux a try. So I installed Fedora 9 and it is not working properly and I just want to go back to Windows but ANY Windows disk that I try will not boot. I have no idea how to fix this problem. Please help

Thanks

Do the install disks you are trying boot on other computers?
You sure you have the boot sequence set correctly in the bios?
Make sure you fdisk the master boot record.

The disks work on on machines.
I have set the boot sequence correctly in the BIOS.
How do I fdisk the MBR?

Hi bparker,

The next time you want to try Linux, download and burn a Live CD Linux distribution onto a CD, make CD bootable before hard drive in BIOS, and boot from the Linux Live CD - i.e. it will not be as tramatic as installing Linux and getting into your current predicament.

To answer your question: use Search on Titles Only for "fix mbr" and consult the found thread.
