Ubuntu Newbie with wireless question

Hi All,

I just inherited a desktop (pentium 4) from my mom, and since I have a desktop already running XP and a laptop running Vista, I thought I would try out ubuntu on it. The install went fine, and it's working well. Since it is not near the other desktop system (where the wireless router is located) , I need to get a wireless solution for it. Are there any USB network adapters out there that will work as a plug- and- play installation? Any advice/comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ubuntu includes or you can install from synaptic package manager,
an application called ndiswrapper.
You can use it to interface with and run the windows drivers for many
wireless cards.

There's also native support for many wireless cards.

Native support is much preferred over ndiswrapper.

I read it a while ago and got a MSI US54SE from Germany which works fine.
