Angry Apache subdirectories are forbidden.
Hey all,

I am at my wits end on this one.

My web server was built years ago (LAMP), has all its folder structure and everything set up nicely. Slackware is the Linux distro.

Within my webroot folder is several sub dirs he made that work fine.

When I try to make my own, the system forbids anything to access it via a web browser.

I have set chmod and chown to all the correct settings. IT STILL GIVES THE 403! I have been researching this for 3 days and I can not find any answer.

below is a posting of my directory set up...
---------------------------------------------------------------

DocumentRoot "/home/me/www/site"

<Directory />
Order Deny,Allow
Deny from All
</Directory>

<Directory /home/me/www/site>
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
AllowOverride None
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

where did I go wrong?

TIA.
