lilo, but no linux
Previously I had linux and windows98 running on separate partitions on my HP Pavillion. Using Partition Magic, I removed all partitions and created a single fat32 partition. Then, I reinstalled windows98 using my recovery disk. Unfortunately, now, when I boot up, all I get is a screen with the letters 'LI'.

I would like to remove LILO (assuming that my computer would then happily boot into windows98), but all I have is the recovery disk (which, as far as I know, won't give me a prompt) and installation disks for linux (ie, no windows boot disk). I tried 'fdisk /mbr' in linux rescue mode, but get the error message 'Unable to open /mbr'.

Any suggestions for how I can get rid of LILO or at least access the perfectly fine windows 98 installation currently on the computer?
