Wine Black Screen Problem
Hello everybody, just finished completely installing ubuntu on my system, solved one problem with wine and now I have another problem. The linux OS is great, I love it and I would never switch back, BUT there is one big problem. Whenever I start wine, any program apart from notepad, I end up getting a black screen, no sound and no cursor. It was working while I had a dual boot with every game I had. I am running Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy" varient. I have been around linux for around a year, but I grew up around 2 macs and 1 windows pc, nothing to do with linux. Please help!
Cheers
James

What programs are you trying to run?

Have you tried re-installing WINE?

I have tried reinstaling wine around 3 times. The programs are: Warcraft 3, Red Alert 3, Fallout 3, GTA4, all of which worked before, when I was still dual booting. When I switched over, I had to reinstall wine, that is when the problem started.
