Post UBUNTU : Problem With Drivers
My Operating System is Ubuntu 8.10
The problem is that when is try to play a video file the video begins but the screens suddenly turns black and after this in less than a second it turns back to normal . It's really annoying ! I Tried to download ather players such as Dragon / VLC / Mplayer but it continues ! ...
I Think the problem is caused by the graphics's card Driver ...

My Graphics Card Is A :
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc R580 [Radeon X1900]
01:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc Device 7260

I Also found out that I can't install Beryl on my Ubuntu ...
Unsupported

  • X1300 / R515 based cards.
  • X1600 / R530 based cards.
  • X1800 / R520 based cards.
  • X1900 / R580 based cards. <---- I think this is my model of Graphic card
Thanks in advance ... !
Merry Christmas !

Ditch the card. The firmware isnt open source, its going to be hard to find any support for it.
