Old show reference
First off, my regards to All, this is my first post on the forum. I am an experienced IT type but with over 20 years expertise in CAD Systems.

There was a TechGuy show where Leo recommended a sophisticated but dedicated Free Firewall software download from a company somewhere in Europe but I don't recall who is was and was hoping someone could direct me. I wanted to make a project of it on an old 386. Or come to think of it perhaps there is an open one currently recommended...

Hi CADGuru,

Welcome to TSG!

When and where was the TechGuy show?

Sounds like it may have been Jetico if the show was from a couple of years ago, and has since undergone much development - only the old version is free now.

Checkout Firewall Leaktester. Also, there is a very good firewall forum at Wilders Security Forums in the Other Firewalls sub-forum (scroll down).

Here in the Unix/Linux forum, iptables is the firewall of choice, but beginners can use Firestarter to get going.
