Thumbs up GO ME! Step into Linux!
Well, not really... Mandrake, but go newb me!
So.. things are really really really nifty and its so darned cool...

But things are not well in Mandrake-land.... as right now I'm using Windows...

If its not trouble, I need STEP by STEP total newb instructions on how to setup my Bell DSL connection... I phoned them and they don't know how.. BELL!

It's nifty because I used their lnx4win when installing it, so it's on the same drive, but I cant really move files to it.

Linux is fun... if you find vomiting fun!

Can you give us some details about *how* the DSL service is provided? Is it via DHCP, or are you required to configure your gateway and DNS settings manually?

I also urge you to avoid lnx4win, and partition your HD manually. Make two partitions -- one swap (the size of your RAM) and one ext2 (for the Linux OS itself). Then, install Mandrake on that. Althought nifty, lnx4win is a workaround for something that isn't even that hard.

If you want to be in control of your OS, take the initial steps of learning how it works, and how to configure it *yourself*. It will turn out to be a good investment of your time and energy.

Good luck!

DHCP, as I don't remember configuring anything in Windows...
I have to go to a friends house to use Internet so responses may be delayed...
