I need to cmp (compare) between the files on the disk drive and the files on a DLT tape drive. I used the following to write to the tape:

#!/bin/ksh
dd if=/dev/rpkdbL0 of=/dev/rmt0.1 bs=4194304
dd if=/dev/rpkdbL3 of=/dev/rmt0.1 bs=4194304
etc for the next eleven files

I'm getting usage errors for cmp when trying to compare files on the tape to the disk drive:

#!/bin/ksh
dd if=/dev/rmt0.1 bs=4194304 | cmp - /dev/rpkdbL0
dd if=/dev/rmt0.1 bs=4194304 | cmp - /dev/rpkdbL3
etc for the next eleven files

If I run just one compare at the prompt instead of my little script for the 13 files it works.
