Finally got the hardware and software to run Ubuntu right!
Man,this is great.
Finally got everything I want running on ubuntu interpid.
It is fast and only uses 200MB memory, booted to the desktop.
Got evolution setup to connect to Gmail and Hotmail.
High performance desktop effects fully enabled.
Full 3D acceleration.
Decent GTX system theme.
Google desktop and gadgets.
Network connection to printer works.
DVD players work.
Audio is good.
Hell,I even got internet explorer 6 installed on this thing.LOL

Getting better and better all the time.
Now,if they would put out some good free games.

Any suggestions for some other good apps or extensions?

ECS MB KT890A
AMD 64 X2 3800+
2GB RAM
Nvidia 7900GS 256MB

Just installed lm-sensors and sensors-applet,so I got temp
readouts of my hardware on my desktop.
Cool.

No problem.

If you haven't already, check your repo. Probably quite a few already there.

If you google "Linux games" you may find something else more to your tastes.

Or use this version of Google:
http://www.google.com/linux

It is strictly Linux and you won't have to add "Linux" to your search.

I was going to install excaliber before, but I ran in to
one of those requirement and dependency loops.
You know how it goes.
It wanted aleph one install first.
In order to do that you have to install other pakages.
In order to install those packages, you need other dependencies.
Packages for those dependecies are not available.
Find those packages on the web and they have to be compiled.
Have to find header files to compile.
On and on.
I gave up till I have more time.

Didn't know there was a linux only google page.
Good info.
