Ubuntu will not install
Trying to dual boot with Windows 7, already have that installed. I get to partition manager in the install, but in the middle of partitioning (it does finish i have looked from windows after installation fails) the screen starts flashing to different screens. One is black, one is the partition manager, and the other is a checklist with something about the battery, at the bottom. After that it goes to an error message that says, "your display has tried to shut down 6 times in the last 90 seconds it is very likely that something bad is happening."

I tried installing with my integrated graphics I had before I got a 8800 Nvidia card. It had that same problem. I thought it was because there were no drivers for the video, so i got the card, but i'm still having the same problem. I tried using the regular 64 bit disc, and the alternative (text based) 64 bit disc. Both failed.

I believe i have the Asus M4A78 Pro AM2+ ATX motherboard. (http://microcenter.com/single_produc...uct_id=0306947)

I have a Nvidia 8800 overclocking speced video card. (not overclocked yet)

4gb of OCZ RAM.

1 TB Seagate or Western Digital HDD.

650 Watt power supply (or 600)

And a CD drive

I really have no idea what could be causing this.
Thanks for any help!

I'm sorry not to be able to help much with this, but I have to say that is the coolest error message I've seen in ages:

Might be worth checking the power settings in the BIOS, and turning off any power saving settings temporarily.

That's almost as cool as the classic "printer is on fire"
