Can't play Youtube and others on Ubuntu
Hi, I'm having trouble with Youtube on Ubuntu. It does plays, but very poorly and the interface is always all mangled up. Flash on websites also can't play either. I already installed Flash and Java. Is there any way that I can fix this issue? Also, how can I use AIM on Ubuntu? Does Pidgin allow me to access my account? Thanks.

When you say that you have installed Flash and Java
1) Have you installed flashplugin-nonfree ? See http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/flash . You may need to enable extra repositories for this. See http://psychocats.net/ubuntu/sources
2) You need Javascript which is different from Java. To check if Javascript is enabled you can do the following in Firefox.
a. Click "Edit > Preferences"
b. Click on "Content"
c. "Enable JavaScript" should be checked

Looks like AIM is covered by Pidgin.
