Solved: picture thumbnail
I have a folder with pictures in it, and only about half of them generate thumbnails. How can I get them all to generate thumbnails?

Ubuntu 9.04

Mine does the same thing. PCLinuxOS.
It only generates thumbs for small pics. A 5 or 6 MB pic and it won't do it, 2MB or smaller and it does(maybe 2.5).

Ok this is weird. It didn't generate the thumbnails in the old folder. I renamed the folder, and all of a sudden the thumbnails were generated. I tried renaming the folder back to the original name, and the same problem with no thumbnails. It's weird. Problem fixed, sorta, just can't use the folder name I was using.

The folder name was "vacation" when I renamed it to "vacationB" the thumbnails worked. Also, when I moved it to '/Pictures/vacation' the thumbnails worked (so no problem with the folder name) but when it was in '/Desktop/vacation' the thumbnails didn't work. It's the weirdest thing! '/Desktop/vacationB' worked with thumbnails, but '/Desktop/vacation' didn't.

That is different.

Mine still seems to depend on size, no matter where they are located.
