Linux dual boot with WinXP
Well this sounds promising... thanks!

Could it be that Wubi didn't work because I didn't partition my HD first? Right now it's set as one entire partition. I thought the point of installing Wubi was so that I wouldn't have to partition... I'm confused... so like you said, one computer at a time.

I'm going to leave my laptop alone for right now as it's my only way to connect to help.

My desk top is a mess right now, but have high hopes! I was reading that it could be my partion structure that is making Ubuntu hang on me. So, once again, I'm going to start all over. but this time I'm going to just wipe the drive, then install from recovery cd instead of from the beginning and all the updates, ugh! That's another main reason I want out of the MS trap of sh_t!
