Solved: Firefox Navigation window displays bookmarked sites
I would like to get rid of that horrible big window that opens up every time I want to type in a URL.
To me it is a bother.
Anyway to do this?

What "horrible big window that opens up every time I want to type in a URL"?

Do you use View>Toolbars>Navigation Toolbar ? Then just click Ctrl+L and type away

Hi marossity,

Welcome to TSG!

What you ask is to disable a feature in Firefox which I believe is called autocomplete (unless I am mistaken).

Check out this webpage on how to disable autocomplete:
Disabling autocomplete - Firefox.

Reference: help in navigation toolbar.

I bow to the greatness of King lotuseclat79 , he who solved my problem with one fell swoop of his mighty pen.

Thank you very much because now, my mind is at rest.
