drivers for biostar/ ubuntu 8.04
hello everyone, looking for some help.
just built a pc, installed ubuntu 8.04 and everything seems fine except I think i need a driver update for my board. It is a Biostar K8m800 micro am2 the problem I have is that everything is a mess you cannot see the whole desktop, icons ginormous, etc. So I have been trying to find a driver for it, but everything is for windows, I even thought perhaps i could get it to work with wine, but no luck there either, if anyone can help that would be great! thanks

Maybe you want to take a look at X/Config/Resolution first.

TerryNet message is right. Linux rarely needs a driver because drivers are most generic. To overcome a meesy desktop is a matter of cinfigurating the video setting. In most cases if a correct generic driver has been used nothing needs to be configured.
