Linux and Java
I am newer to using linux and i am having trouble downloading and installing java onto my computer so i could use it for games on pogo and yahoo. Does anyone know step by step how to download java on linux because the instructions java gives have not helped me with it....thank you very much

You do not say which distro you are using.

On Ubuntu I would just tell people to install: ubuntu-restricted-extras.

For web browsing, all that is needed is Java JRE.
