"This wednesday we are releasing version 1.0 of KMyMoney. Over 3 years have gone since the latest stable version, 0.8.9. During that time, we have added a ton of features. Hey, I only officially joined the team a year and a half ago, but the whole team has worked on its own features, getting feedback from users, implementing pieces here and there, then getting full chunks of functionality out there to test, then ironing them out for others to test. The community has been very patient through all the process, giving us feedback, providing us with examples of cornercases, suggesting new features, letting us know of the annoyances we caused, and even standing the crashes we got here and there. We also got help with plugins, usability advices, documentation, and translations. If for nothing else, the community makes it worthwile to spend time on this project."
