Cool Accessing Luinux files from Windows Vista Ultimate
Hi all,

I can access my Windows files from my Linux machine, (anything that is shared that is), however, I cant access any of my shared files on my Linux machine from my Windows machine.. is there something I am missing?

Or is there a piece of software that can help?

Do you have Samba Server setup and configured correctly.

haha.. potentially not.

How do i go about checking this? Its working to the point of smb://mike-pc shows me a list of all of my windows shared directories..

Been to many years since I used Linux as a server. You may want to ask a moderator to move this thread to the Linux Category. Click on Report.

There is lots of good documentation on the web on how to setup Samba on Linux. It is not to difficult if memory serves me. I am just no expert anymore.
