What is pandora radio, an executable or a URL link to a web page stream?

If pandora radio is a Windows executable, you should be able to get Wine from the repositories or its website, download, install, and run it.

You would then run it as follows or something like that assuming that pandora-radio is the name of the .exe:
$ wine pandora-radio
or
$ wine pandora-radio.exe

Pandora Internet Radio has a URL to a web page - www.pandora.com

I used to listen until they stopped people outside the US. (Proxy? Me?)

I came to realize that it is not great compared to Spotify, or Deezer, or...

I can't answer the question directly but look at Pandora Alternatives (on the right of the page) on
http://globalpandora.com/Pandora_Alternatives

I think Pandora is Flash based. Have you got flash installed?
