Solved: I just installed gOS
Alright, I am running Windows XP on my laptop, and I installed gOS (Google Operating System) onto my 250GB external hdd. Now when I load XP and go to My Computer, it doesn't show the external hdd. I want to erase the hdd. How do I do this? Is it possible? Or did I just ruin my external hdd?

Just in case my first post isn't clear enough

My problem is that, it can be detected by Windows (through Computer Managment) but I can't see it on My Computer. It is also listed in the device manager. I can safely remove it, but there's no way I can't access it.

I solved this.

In Computer Management -> Disk Management, right clicked Disk 3 (my external hdd) -> Delete Partition (this is 1 of 2 partitions on Disk 3 [this partition was 230GB]) -> Right click 2nd partition under Disk 3 (2GB) -> Delete partition.

After that the entire 250GB external hdd was free.

I right clicked -> Create New Partition -> Went on to make it a NTFS format
