Hi mykishhu,

Welcome to TSG!

Did your previous installation of Fedora 11 occupy the entire hard drive (disk)?

Did you install Ubuntu 9.10 over Fedora 11 in the same partition? Or, did you create a new partition for Ubuntu 9.10 prior to installing it.

There are certain preparations to be able to multiboot Linux either with Windows or other Linux and other OSes.

I would guess that if you have a separate partition for Fedora and another for Ubuntu, you can fix this problem by modifying the /boot/grub/menu.lst file. I would approach the problem by using a Linux Live CD - do you have one?

Think both Ubuntu and Fedora can now work as a Live CD.

Ubuntu 9.10 uses Grub2 but I think Fedora 11 still on Grub legacy.

To advise futher we need to know

(1) Has you slected Ext4 filing system for Ubuntu? Grub legacy can't read Ext4!

(2) Post the output of root terimnal command
[code[fidk -l[/code]
so that we know you partition layout.

(3) Are you using a LVM?
