Hi all,
I have some tricky things I'm trying to research. A local non-profit organization I help out is offering free wireless and wants to add adult web filtering. So, I'm attempting to setup something at my house then get used to it before I take it up there.
The guys from work have informed me that the internet and Linux will be my best solutions. I'm semi-familiar with Linux, have ran Ubuntu, GOS, and PuppyLinux(hard install and pen drive) and I'm willing to learn a new operating system such as Solara(sp?) if necessary.
So I guess my question is, where should I start in my research of how to filter the internet through a computer using linksys wireless routers?
I've been googling for days and I'm "guessing" that I want to set up a Linux box and then build a DNS server and I can then somehow tell the router to go through the Linux box's DNS server to filter, is this right? Any help, tips, pointers, different ways to google this would be appreciated.
*Note: I want to use a single computer to filter all computers attached to a Linksys wireless router. I'm not looking to just setup an adult filter on a single computer.*
Thank you VERY much.
Kyle
