geforce 2 mx 400 / mandrake 9.0
i just downloaded the ut2003 demo for linux and installed it on mandrake 9.0
my problem is that when i try to play it, it tells me i need the drivers for my geforce card. so i downloaded them from www.nvidia.com and when i try to install the nvidia kernal i get an error saying

nv.c: In function `nv_kern_mmap':
nv.c:1473: warning: implicit declaration of function `pgprot_writecombine'
nv.c:1473: incompatible types in assignment
nv.c:3020:59: missing binary operator before '('
make: *** [nv.o] Error 1

i also downloaded the glx drivers but they say that i have to install the kernel first. so im kinda at a stale mate here. if anyone can help me please respond
im pretty new to linux so if you could put it in lamens terms
thank you

I did a search at LQ with "nvidia drivers" as the search terms. If you want to sift thru the results there to find an answer, here's the link .
If you get stuck on the commands or somthing, post back and I'll try to help as best I can.Sorry for just pushing you to a link, but I'm a little short of time and if I were to rush through an explanation for somthing like this I would only make matters worse HTH
