Nautilus (sp)
What is this in Redhat V 8.0? Is this an alternative to Gnome or KDE?

Thanks in advance!

In RH8 the changed GNOME and called it BlueCurve. Nautilus is the file manager from GNOME so that is probably why you see it.

Hmm, I thought bluecurve was just a theme or background that could be changed. I still see the Gnome icon in the corner of some windows I open (don't remember which ones specifically). But, I'm so new to this and easily confused. Believe me, I'm not trying to argue here.

Can KDE still be used in 8.0? How do you get that working?

Thanks!

BlueCurve is the name of the desktop, not just the theme. You can still use KDE, but it is not installed by default so you might have to install that first.

So are users actually using Gnome? I thought that's what I chose upon installation of 8.0?

Thanks for clearing this up. Much appreciated!
