Red Hat 7.2 booting problem - HELP

Hi!

After re-installing RH 7.2 I am getting Kernel Panic immideately after "Welcome to Red Hat Linux":
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer derefernce at virtual address
00000004
or
Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address d04efac4
or
/etc/rc.sysinit: line 46 : 24 segmentation fault sleep 1
or
Killing interupt handler

Could anybody help me. I didn't have any serious problems with Linux so far and now is time to start learning, I think

Did you create a rescue disc? If so, can you boot off that? Another thing you can try is when you get the logo screen, press control-x. This will bring up a boot: or linux: prompt. Type "linux single" (without the quotes). If this boots, you can at least get in and fix what ever is causing the problem.
