Angry Solved: Sybot Search & Destroy always prompts DSO Exploit, 5 entries..Removed but still there
Hi There,

It's me again...I just could not stand to be away too long from you guyszzzz!
I need to check on the above. Everytime, when I run my Spybot Search & Destroy, I get this DSO Exploit (I don't know what that is )

There will always be 5 entries, so I checked them to delete them as instructed. But everytime when I run my Spybot Search & Destroy....the same 'thing' is there. I have no idea what it is.
Is they a way, you can help me interprete this 'thing'

I attached my HJT in case you need it.

hi, what are the dso exploits spybot is finding? If they keep coming back it might just be a legitimate programme which spybot picks up as a baddie like Download accelerator?

your log looks clean apart from these 2

have hijack fix these entries

Aaliyah, I had a similar problem just a few days ago. Actually, the exact problem (5 DSO exploits). Due to a gracious member named Gerry, I found that this is a bug in spybots system. You can download a fix from here:http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4392.html

After I downloaded the fix, the DSO exploits were finally removed. It seems that after Spybot fixed some of my problems it did not reset the value in the registry. Let me know if this helped.

hi, i had that problem i found this on internet. it worked for me
to get rid of dso exploit:
when spybot finds dso exploit click the "+" next toit so all occurances are displayed
click the registry icon at the end of the 1st line
pause for several seconds while the registry editor starts up
then click on the same icon again
this time registry editor will advance to the offending entry(1004)- simply right click and delete
repeat above for all remaining lines that spybot finds but make sure the one it highlights is 1004.often it cant find 1004 in last one you try to fix in which case it highlights 1001 entry . dont delete this one. rescan and it should be gone.

Hi There,

Thank you for all the post. Sorry...it took me time to say that the problem has been fixed. Who would have expected, my dad passed away just five hours after I posted my problem.

Anyway, thanks again, I tried the 'remedy' that was posted by macmac & it worked

Many thanks,
Aaliyah8

*sits trying to think of something to say*

Aaliyah, Im very sorry to hear that. Words are pretty futile right now, I know, but I would like to wish you some sort of peace out of this horrible time in your life.

I know what its like to loose a dad... and a mother... 28 days apart. I, more than most know that nothing will really make you feel better right now. But believe me when I say that it does get easier. I hope that you and your family are close and this allows you to grow even closer. Through their love and loss, may you all be healed.

Im sorry.

Dear Surrender......

Thank you for your kind words. It is nice to know that there are people out there in other parts of the world that care. I am learning to cope & it has brought me even closer to GOD....I hope that you are doing fine now.

I told a friend of mine that what happened a world away was "hand of God" type of ****. The world has been devestated that much. With events of the world... war, famine, earthquakes, tsunamis (I predict a major eruption or increase in volcanic activity within one year).... we are all coming closer to God.

Did you know that some islands moved as much as 98 feet? Top scientists believe that the earth has actually sped up. The ocean floor has forever been changed. I saw satalite pictures of an island before and after the tsunami.... the ocean actually washed away half of the damn thing.

There is an outpouring of grief in the world right now Aaliyah. Many people know exactly how you feel right now....watch the weather change.
