Unhappy Why Isnt Anyone Helping Me????
Please read the log below! I had it under a different thread, but no one will respond now that I did the first step I was asked to do!!! PLease someone help me before my computer closes again. It took me hours and hours to get it to work this time just to do what I was told to do below.
Thank you,
Kasey

#1 From Kasey 11/23
A virus scanning website took over my computer and downloaded itself on my computer yesterday and refused to let me delete it unless I purchased the product. I didnt purchase it although I can see why someone might. It took some time, but eventually I was able to delete it. However, it is obviously still there. I cant really do that much because I keep getting an error message that it must shut down. There is a permanant error message on my desktop that says " Your computer is in Danger. Windows security center has detected spyware/adware infection! It is strongly recommended that you use special antispyware tools to prevent data loss"
I tried going to the Windows security center, but it freezes before I get anything done. Please help. I thought I was computer literate until I read some of the threads and realize that I'm not all that. So speak slowly and literally:
Thanks,
Kasey

Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

you haven't picked a good time

Not sure if the same tech guy is still on since he told me to do this last night and it took me until today to get my system to stop its non-stop shut down when I would try to run anything. Anyway, briefly, something grabbed a hold of my system 2 days ago and now I cant hardly do anything and I have a constant error message in the background of my desktop that says "Your computer is in danger!! Windows security center has detected spyware/adware infection"
Abustiaf told me last night to run highjack this and print the results. Here they are below.
Thanks,
Kasey

This might be spyware in itself.

I'd recommend downloading and running AdAware.

go to http://www.download.com/Ewido-Securi...ml?tag=lst-0-1 and download ewido it's free for 30days and once the 30days is up you can still update and scan but it won't auto update. once its installed and up to date start your pc in safe mode and do a full system scan

kasadia: Wait for a hjt expert to parse your log. You posted yesterday, they are busy, sometimes it takes time for them to get to you. I would highly recommend against using an online hjt parser, as more often than not they give back false positives. Be patient, and I'm sure one will be through shortly.
