I'm trying to find a way to get a game that I bought to run and was told by the "Gaming" forum to run & post an HJT log here to see if y'all could tell me why I get this explanation for why I get an "ac.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". The "more info" message is:

"Virus alert: Windows detected the Win32/PSW.Lineage.DN/ PWS-Lineage virus on your computer

I have run AVG, Norton Antivirus and now Panda to see if I they could help ID/fix the problem. All 3 programs returned different results so I'm a little unsure as to whether or not I have the right/best protection on my pc.

I don't know if it matters or not but the game is Agatha Christie And Then There Were None.

You have two anti-virus programs running, which will cause trouble. Uninstall one of them.


Run HijackThis and click Open the Misc Tools section
Click Open Uninstall Manager, Save list and save the log to your Desktop.
A list of programs will open in Notepad. Post the contents of the log here in your next reply.

Remove My Web Search (Cursor Mania)

The Norton looks pretty old. Are you paying for it to keep it updated?

I was actually just looking at upgrading the Norton to 360 since I just got an email advertising it. Is Norton better than AVG?

If Norton is not updating right now I would remove it and keep AVG until you get the upgrade. It's pointless to keep any anti-virus program that is not up to date.
