Solved: x_bat.exe problems
Yesterday i started to get some weird pop ups, and then i find this odd folder named bat... i looked up on google and i found out that it was a spyware so i deleted the folder, i have windows vista and i have the hijack log here, i would apreciate any help you guys could give:

whatever virus it is, it somehow managed to disable taskmanager, (i get a message saying it was disallowed by the admin), Panda AV reports nothing except 8+ new spyware daily, but after deleting them i still get "security" pop-ups on the quick bar and even pop-up windows, all leading to a site selling some sort of anti-spyware software.
Like my brother said, we found the bat folder with x_bat.exe inside and deleted it in safe mode right at the beggining of the infection, but the problem is still there. My netstat report shows numbers of connections in the pc, so i'm kinda anxious about this

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from Here or Here
Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

Happy I can help, sorry you had to wait so long.

Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".


Please update your version of HJT.
Click here to download HJTInstall.exe
  • Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
  • Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
  • Click on Install.
  • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
  • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.

Troubleshoot Task Manager problems look at the last solution. Hope that will fix task manager.

yup i did! thanks I was about to do that myself but i needed a second opinion!

Did you notice the edit? i had 2 hijack logs.. instead of malware log and hijack log.
