Red face Git Rid of AVG plz
I am beyond help, but please help me neways. I let a friend download AVG 7.5 and it will not go away! I get a free version of McAfee suite thru my internet service company and it will not download due to AVG Free 7.5 (nuthin is free nemore, theres ALWAYS a catch, right? So, please help... I am desperate!

If you want to post a hijackthis log for me I may be able to help you. If not, per your PM to me, perhaps getting a computer shop to help you is the way to go. I live way up north from you so I don't have any contacts for you locally.

Click here to download HJTInstall.exe
  • Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
  • Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
  • Click on Install.
  • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
  • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
  • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
  • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
  • DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
