greetings,

I found the problem with Windows Update in a post on Microsoft's site. My Background Intelligent Transfer Service was stopped and set to manual. Once I started the service and set to automatic, Windows update runs. At that point, it wanted to install XP SP3, which i had not even heard of. Do you have a recommendation on this?

Thank you,
Adaniel

I have been trying all afternoon to manually download/install MS updates with little success. Any ideas? Since we seem to have gotten rid of any malware, should we move this to the OS section; I saw several similar posts there

It would be better if you start a new thread there than to move this one. Just for a FYI... I had some trouble a while back with updates. I solved it by removing a few of the most current and going to the update site. That some how got them working again.
