Solved: if shutting down, must then go to safe mode or big delay getting to desktop,
Hi,
If anyone can help solve this problem??
As long as I keep my pc on, everything seems ok (except for 5 minute delay in "My Computer" and can't access camera to upload pictures).
Once I shut down, I must go into Safe Mode and make even one change in msconfig, then restart in normal mode, and all is fine again, but only AFTER I reset Services in Computer Management which all become disabled. If I try rebooting without going into Safe Mode, it takes forever (25 minutes) to get to my desktop, and even then, although Im able to get online, once online my start button along with other clicks in my start menu become stuck and take perhaps 5 minutes to open. But as I said, if I go into Safe Mode first, after shutting down (or even restarting) and make change in msconfig and restart in normal mode, and reset SERVICES, all is fine again. But I shouldnt have to go through all this every day. Its very time consuming.

PS: Please note that I installed XDrive Desktop tonight (after the problem) so as to backup my files and send you HJT logfile.

I solved my own problem after getting the thought to reconfigure settings in Services. Finally.
