On my laptop, somehow a program called antivirus 2008 got downloaded. I can see it on the toolbar on the bottom right had side and the icon looks like my security icon. It runs a scan and tells me I have 40 threats and to buy the software, which I don't want to do since I already have antivirus. Anyway, now it won't let me enter this site or any other sites except my home page because it tells me they are threats and to buy the "antivirus 2008".
Its not in my program list to remove and I don't know where it came from. I think my husband downloaded it yesterday while on the internet. I can't remove it.
Please help!!!

It also keeps giving me popups with Self-starting Trojan files have been detected.
