Hello,
I used to be tech guy, but am several years removed and cannot figure out how to get rid of this annoying Trojan.

Quick details:
About five days ago, we start getting popups on regular intervals on my home computer. I check AVG and everything is fine, but my installation of SpyBot is simply gone; I have no idea what happened. I reinstall, run, and clear off a good amount of spyware. I run for the next couple days and everything is normal.

This morning, all of a sudden, AVG reports the Vundo.GC Trojan. It removes one file and says it cannot find the many others, repeatedly. I cannot find any reliable method to get rid of it. This seems to be the best forum, but all of the solutions I have found seem to be user-specific, based on HJT logs, so I have included my log below. I tried figuring it out on my own, but there is so much junk, I cannot be sure what it all is. Now, I am getting new blank windows of Firefox or IE opening. One time, there was a generic Anti-Virus message, which I closed with an Alt+F4. I am running the Panda ActiveScan 2.0 right now and will post results in the morning.

Thanks to LifeRetreat's thread. I tried numerous spyware and anti-virus programs, but none of them got rid of this bugger, until I tries Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.
