Unhappy Computer SLOW after installing plug-ins
I am running a brand new HP Pavillion and it was lightning fast...
until today when I noticed it now takes forever to load anything, be it a webpage or program.

This I am sure has been caused by my mistake of accepting plug-ins from several websites while surfing some guitar websites online.

I tried system restore and it seems to be even slower now.

I would look for them and remove them but don't know what they are called or where they came from.

WHAT CAN I DO ????
Thanks!

Please click here to download and install the HijackThis installer.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

Do not fix anything

strangely it seems to be a bit back up to speed now, but I don't want to speak to soon.

I think your computer is infected. I would click on the Report button and kindly ask to be moved to the Malware Removal forum.

OK, thanks for your help.
Indeed my antivirus is saying I have a virus from a website by MY name dan-buchanan.com (or org- can't remember) I think someone set it up specifically to infect my computer. I was surprised that my Kaspersky Virus Protection recognizes it but aparantly has not quarantined or fixed it.

Additional detail:
I have noticed odd increase in the cursor blink rate and it is not constant but varies.
Could this indicate a keystroke monitor ?
